On January 25th, 2021 I explained why I had decided not to adopt several cool new tools that had been introduced to automate data collection into and processing within my Obsidian vault.
I find it useful to import my digital highlights automatically to Obsidian. But then, to also add separate "permanent" or "main" notes that summarize my interpretation of the material. These notes can be tagged with "#main" and linked to the highlight notes (which automatically contain the "reference" note. Then the "#main" notes can be retrieved and viewed together.
Both then become "fodder" for the Smart Connections plugin to apply some AI magic.
