Having mention Henderson before... I see this weeks offering from him is 'on topic'; "Universities are failing students. Let's talk about why." ... so here is the link.
Imagine a world where all kinds of people set up their own disruptive alternatives to mainstream education and basic degrees. Part of me likes the idea of a free for all. I’m skeptical about accreditation solving quality problems, but maybe it will help. How will students decide where to study and spend? Where will disaffected teachers choose to contribute if they don’t roll their own? It might be interesting to compare online coding academies that have sprung up to meet a need. But there you’re talking quickly evolving technical skills. Business gurus? Language learning? Great Books type academies like the Catherine Project? What about older efforts like the Great Courses? The relative chaos both intrigues and worries me (a bit).

"The thing that surprised me was that this time he did not seem entirely unhinged.", really, I might have to go look/listen, perhaps he took his meds for the week before...
"... hobble their faculty with political correctness and the threat of cancellation if they aren't woke enough, in addition to not paying professors that well and treating them with disrespect."
Like the ideology that comes from say; The Heritage Foundation, or The Austrian School, or even from the likes of some 'private' universities in the US...
None of the names on the current list don't need a Google search [except Weinstein and Heying] odd names omitted too... so seems strange, when say 'The University of Austin' seems to be on the verge of running... etc.
