All I'm interested in, really, is how he came to the set of ideas he expressed in the book (if they were similar to those he mentioned in the interview), because that might help me understand others who hold similar views. I'm not expecting to endorse or reject them. As far as what he may have flipped on, regarding Trump, I think it's kind of unfortunate when anyone wades into the political swamp and I suspect that anything they say in their role as politicians is probably already so debased and dumbed down that it's just sad to consider it seriously.
Are you not curious about how how he shifted from naming Trump "America's Hitler? to become an enabler of that guy?
