The Gilded Age in America is the subject of my new research project, which began in the last year or so but which I'm returning to with increased energy.
My knowledge of The Gilded Age is from the HBO TV Series of the same name. A lot to learn from. Thanks for publishing your vault, Dan. 600 notes! Pretty awesome. The website is impressive. I think you've truly harnessed the power of a graph database. Obsidian would be proud. Looking forward to the updates and to learning more.
p.s. How did William Bingham get to be the "Wealthiest man in America in 1780" at age 28? [William Bingham - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Bingham) I had no idea of him! Thanks Dan.
Thank you Dan for publishing your vault. I've just started to look at it; the first place I looked was William Bingham, because I wondered if he might be connected to Binghamton, NY, and yes, he is. I grew up near Binghamton, it was the big city we would go to about once in a few months. I wonder if you will publish some kind of "trail" that will lead us through the interconnections? In a book or maybe something sooner?

Suggestion to readers: watch Dan's video above too, where he illustrates the use of the Obsidian graph to find interconnections between the people.

Since you plan to publish a book on the Gilded Age, I suggest you have a look at [1939: The World We Left Behind (The Second World War Book 1): Kee, Robert](https://www.amazon.com/1939-World-We-Left-Behind-ebook/dp/B07WFHQ1H1/ref=sr_1_1?crid=XSAXFCOLGADS&keywords=1939+book+kee&qid=1704220930&sprefix=1939+book+kee%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-1). I'm reading it now (it's my birth year); an interesting way to weave together historical accounts.
