A while back, I made an ebook of over five dozen letters I discovered in the Ashfield Historical Society’s file folders. Eight brothers named Ranney wrote to each other faithfully throughout the nineteenth century, and Henry Ranney of Ashfield kept letters dated from 1839 through nearly the end of the century.
