A while back, I made an ebook of over five dozen letters I discovered in the Ashfield Historical Society’s file folders. Eight brothers named Ranney wrote to each other faithfully throughout the nineteenth century, and Henry Ranney of Ashfield kept letters dated from 1839 through nearly the end of the century. You can view the letters themselves and read my transcriptions and commentary for free at https://mlpp.pressbooks.pub/ranneyletters/, and now you can listen to the same, since I’m going to begin a regular, weekly series where I read one of the letters on my podcast, History4Today.
